On Wednesday 25th October GYCH hosted members of the Carlton and Gedling u3a group. They learned about the history of the former Gedling railway station and youth club as well as plans for the future under the regeneration project.
Peter Wood (Trustee), the resident arborist, gave a tour of the rewinding garden of the old 5-a-side area. The visitors then toured the community hub and concluded with an afternoon tea.
Many thanks to all the volunteers that baked cakes for the event, they were delicious. Thanks also to Maggie Martinez from u3a for arranging the visit. We hope to see you again soon!
