Do you remember the Gedling Youth Club days?

with 2 Comments

As a part of our Heritage Open Day – 19th September 2020 – we are looking to feature the recollections / memories of those who visited / took part in the Gedling Youth Club days at the Station (1967-2005)…

Do YOU have any memories , momentoes , photographs or just a few anecdotes from those times ?

If you do – Please share them with us – ideally by sending them to Gedlingyouth@gmail.com – or by posting your memories on the “Friends of Gedling Station” page on Facebook……we know that there are many in our local community who have such memories – it would be wonderful to share them and have a few smiles!

    Hi
We turned up for your heritage open day having found out about you on the website.
We were told that you were closed by a small notice on the verge.
Why was the cancellation not posted on the website /info site?
How were we expected to know you were closed!!

      Hi Kim,
Apologies – communications have been a bit chaotic with changes of people managing the website over the last months. I have just taken over, spotted your comment, and hope to keep a closer watch on updates in future.

There are lots of plans in the pipeline, but the big one will be a public consultation on the future use of the building; we hope to have information available online and once COVID restrictions are relaxed, hopefully on display in the building (with some opportunities for viewing the site). Please keep watching out for updates, ask us anything you want, and contribute to the consultation when it comes out (hopefully in the summer – still a bit “tbc”),
      Cheers
      Andy.
